CareDogs is a charity that aims to “solve social isolation, one walk at a time through the companionship of our volunteers and their dogs”. They operate in several South London boroughs including Croydon and support older people who are still mobile.
Christopher, a client, joined CareDogs in March 2024 and was introduced to the charity through “Wellness” at the Whitgift centre. Christopher loves dogs but isn’t allowed to keep them at his home. Therefore, CareDogs seemed like the perfect solution.

Not only does Christopher get to enjoy regular walks with the CareDogs volunteer and Poppy his dog but attends the group walks too. “The dog owners and all those I met on the main walk have been very friendly. We have met some other delightful dogs with sociable owners and the leisurely hour that we spend passes quickly.”
CareDogs is a fabulous charity which makes a real difference to the people it serves.
