In June 2024 a member of the SCCA had their first meal at ‘Raggio di Sole Pizzeria’ a restaurant in Southbridge Road, South Croydon, and keeps coming back for more ever since! ‘Raggio di Sole’ – Rays of the Sun, is an amazing little restaurant – far more than just a Pizzeria.

Whether you are eating in, or ordering takeout, the quality and service of the food is superb and authentic.
The owner; a charming Sicilian called Giuseppe, prepares everything from the heart. The atmosphere is very welcoming, friendly and family-orientated.
The menu boasts a wide-range of tasty pizzas – all freshly prepared on site from an authentic, wood-burning oven.
Besides this, there is a delicious line up of antipasti, pasta dishes, deserts, wines and apéritifs to suit all tastes.
Among the top choices are; Deep fried courgette flowers, meatballs, carbonara, 3 different types of arancini, and the panna cotta is to die for!
These dishes are all served up at very reasonable prices.
The restaurant really captures the je ne sais quoi of the taste and experience you get on holiday and is highly recommended to all.
